December 2002

Ray with new-born Niamh last February

Hi All,

Hope you had a good Christmas and New Year.  We did, although matters were marred by illnesses. Mairead's Dad was in Hospital with heart problems and on Christmas Day my Mum had a bad turn and had to go into Hospital.
We begin with December itself, with some pictures of shopping etc., and finish with the New Year celebrations.
I didn't have enough holiday left from work to go away at New Year, so we went to Andrew & Mairead's for Christmas. This was Niamh's first Christmas, and we wanted to be  there. She had a good time, and enjoyed all the new experiences. We got together with Mairead's family, with large numbers of people and chaotic present openings.
Returned home for New Year and were visited by Anne & Alex, and Andrew, Mairead and Niamh managed to get down, so on New Year's Day we had 9 for dinner, including Mum & Joan. For tea, Edgar & Norah, Mary, and Jose & Brian joined us, so that made 14. Great!
My Mum is a lot better but not completely, we hope the improvement continues.

We hope everyone else is OK, if you have any news to put on this e-page, let me know and it will appear. I know that jobs and interviews are on-going, so let me know when you have some good news!

Cheers for now,
