Hi and welcome. I have news of our holiday in France, and pictures. This is not just Celia and me, but…… well, look further and see.

A typical beach on the west coast of France - La Grand Cote. There are miles of sand just like this. The beaches have people on them as you can see, but do not feel crowded. Excellent!

Above - At Caroline's for a get-together and a great French meal. Cyrille and Niamh on the left and the gathering on the right. Caroline and her Dad nearest on the right and Anne-Marie on the left.
Below, Théo has a try at building, watched by Caroline's Mum.

Here's Andrew and Niamh in the caravan and the outside shown below. We were outside most of the time.

Here are Celia and Mairead on top of the Dune de Pyla, the largest sand dune in France, and probably Europe.

Below is one of the best of Niamh. The hat usually stayed on for about 3 seconds before she took it off, that's why her hands are being held!

I have kept this months pages to the pictures, which speak for themselves, - better than lots of writing. We had a great holiday and it was good to meet up with Richard, Caroline and Théo again on their home ground. Andrew and Mairead had not been to Bordeaux before, and didn't have time to explore the city properly. It's good to have something to go back to another time!
Take care all of you - until next time,
David Hitchings 10 November 2002
