Hi and Welcome to the Family News e-pages.  It is now September - timing of producing these pages has been arranged around what we have been feeling and doing. July was a very busy month and August has been a time for winding slowly down to feel like normal again.
July started with the second day at Donnington Park for motor racing with John (my brother,) Tom and a friend. The next week was Katie's 21st and Celia and I followed this with a weeks holiday near Penrith. This was really good but there are some restrictions as to where you can walk. This kept us from overdoing the walking.
The last weekend in July we had company with Anne & Alec who were on their way to Italy on holiday. Went out and then a barbecue in the garden.
We have had visits from John & Anne and then Anne & Alec on their way back from holiday.
Last month we mentioned the good news from Andrew & Mairead - a baby due in February. We can't wait, but will have to!  Mairead had a scan and we have a picture e-mailed to us. Andrew said the baby then was only 50mm in size and already is zooming around cyberspace. Wow! (See pic below.)
Iain and Zoë have named the day - 16th March 2002, so that  is something else to look forward to.
Take Care,

This chap lives around Hallin Fell near Ullswater. He wouldn't comment on Foot & Mouth, but enjoyed his grass.

Left - John, Tom and friend Dave, getting hooked on Motor Racing.
Below left saloon cars
Below right circuit tickets
Bottom left the editor with equipment. I have got a new hat now, honest - they insisted on taking the picture before I got the new one.

No prizes for guessing the occasion on the left. There was a good turn-out in Penrith for the 'Do' to help Katie celebrate.

Rosie & Katie

Someone's always got to make a speech - this time it was Dave's turn

Time for celebrating after the speeches

I couldn't show pictures of everyone who was at Katie's Party, so the selection is of those most connected with Katie. It was a good party, and I've not seen so many people gathered and enjoying themselves for quite a while.
We follow on below with our news, being the expected event and holiday near Ullswater.

Good walking - took the Ullswater Steamer from Howtown to Glenridding and walked back along the other side of the lake (from the road.)

Here's the result of Foot & Mouth - Disinfect your feet.

I've run out of space. Just as well. You will have to wait and I have more time to think up something interesting.
